Mobile is the Needle. Social is the Thread.
So many insights I don’t know where to start. I love slide no.3 and slide no.4. The dramatic contrast in such a short period of time is really brought home here. I made a post earlier today about the future of mobile, when both these posts are reviewed it gives great insight into future progression.
Slide 5 also resonates. Understanding how information has changed may help some to realise that the same commodity that used to be owned by few is now freely available to everyone, everywhere 24/7. I think #education and #training need to get this concept the most, it’s simply over the time when learning was controlled, and Slide 5 shows why.
It is so obvious that mobile / tablets are devices of choice for future learning. How organisations choose to convert content into deliverable chunks is the real challenge; I hope ‘pull’ is given higher priority than ‘push’ and that the previous mentality of shrinking learning to fit a smaller screen is abolished. Connect nodes and create pulley learning.

Infographic: Which Brands Are Rocking Social Media?
Perhaps the question would be better phrased, Which brands are the best listeners, and from those, who provides the quickest and best solutions?
I like to take the example of what these top brands are doing with SM, in terms of listening and solution providing, and apply the same principal to Education and Workplace learning. If you're able to know in real time who needs support about what topic and recommend or connect the two best nodes, it's going to equal real value which can only equate to increased #performance.
The best thing about it is that the data is already out there, you just have to listen to it!
Dell is presented as a master in the art and science of listening.
Morton's made headlines with its surprise-and-delight effort with influencer Peter Shankman recently, but goes beyond that with helpful information regularly.
Unisys uses social media internally for effective collaboration and a boost to company productivity.
KLM is using Twitter and Facebook for real-time customer service and encouraging customers to submit ideas.
ABC is having fun with the way viewers can engage with their new show Pan Am by providing some goodies on Facebook. +Scott Monty

5 Ways to Maximize Cognitive Potential
This is a great post and really worth the time reviewing. I particularly like the closing paragraph, wouldn't it be nice if old school #Education systems could embrace this idea.
Intelligence isn’t just about how many levels of math courses you’ve taken, how fast you can solve an #algorithm, or how many vocabulary words you know that are over 6 characters. It’s about being able to approach a new problem, recognize its important components, and solve it—then take that #knowledge gained and put it towards solving the next, more #complex problem. It’s about #innovation and imagination, and about being able to put that to use to make the world a better place. This is the kind of #intelligence that is valuable, and this is the type of intelligence we should be striving for and encouraging. Andrea Kuszewski

Finding hashtags in comments and posts on Google Plus via +Alex Schleber

Reshared post from +Alex Schleber
Just FYI, Google+ Search appears to be picking up #hashtags placed in comments pretty reliably by now (might take about 30-60 minutes to index). I'll have to do more of these over time to see if it works every time. This can be used to find your own comments on interesting threads again, by typing "[hashtag] [your lastname]" into the search box.
Example search, the result was about 3-4 items down below some posts that were older:

19 Tips for Effective Meetings – A Summary of the Best Guidelines
Great checklist… I agree with point one – there is so much that can be achieved without the need to spend time and resources in a physical space. However, an important part of social media usage is the opportunity to add a face to face layer, this can help cement relationships that are later carried out via technology.
